In the 70th minute, Artem Dzyuba scored a goal, to reduce the score for Russia. But Russia ran out of steam.
Andreas Christensen increased Denmark’s lead, in the 79th minute.
With eight minutes left to play, Denmark’s Joakim Mähle increased the lead as he scored a goal, with an assist by Pierre Höjbjerg, what brought the final score to 4-1.
It was the last game of the qualifiers and the result means that Russia finish fourth in the table, withDenmark in second place. Denmark has secured its spot in the playoffs.
